English Language Challenges

Did you know that in the world, exists 7000 languages?... Incredible! Nowadays, speak another languages can open you a lot of doors! One of the most important (for me) is English and I´m going to talk to you about different things about   this language, related with me. I remember that at school, I have a love-hate relationship with English L jaja because I love it but at the same time, it complicated me. The situation has no changed at University, because I like English classes but I have lot complications when I have to express any idea. Anyway, my experience learning English at University was good! In the beginning, I have some difficult with some verbal tenses but now, I think that I´m improving. I remember that last semester, I was afraid about writing a blog every class, because I never did it before. Personality, in English class, I always prefer to write before speaking but..I didn´t have English classes since...2 years ago? so I felt that I had forgotten many th

Changes to my study programme

Until now, I can say that I’m satisfied with the career that I chose.. but.. like always, there are some things that could be better.. I think   that maybe, we could have more subjects related with public health, because I think that we have a lot subjects related with clinic pharmacy. In another hand, have practices since the second year   could be better because we could have more experience in the area! Talking about something more specific, if someone is confused about the career that he/she choose, with the practices, he/she could be clear!! (maybe jaja)   So.. having practices since the second year is definitely a good idea!   If we talk about the infrastructure, I think that if we are studying something related with science, we have to have laboratories in a good condition!! It is something that should be improve in the future! For example, we should have more materials at our disposal. Something important that remains to be mentioned is the few spaces to study that th

In my opinion..

There are different topics that include different opinions. Today, i´m going to talk you about some of them. What is your opinion about recycling? In my opinion recycling is so important now day. I guess that we know that recycling, we can help the environment of our planet. If we don´t recycle, in a long term, the pollution will end up with our ozone layer, leaving us without protection for UV rays. In another hand, if we realize, recycling prevents more trees being cut, trees are the lungs of our planet and help in a certain way to decontaminate. So it´s very important be aware! What is your opinion about immigration? Now day, we can notice that in Chile, are a lot of foreign. People who come from Peru, Venezuela, Colombia and Haiti. In my opinion, there is everything. I think that some people are agree with immigration but an important part of them, are not…and I ask me..why? Everybody look for opportunities that you think are best for you. From cartoons, animes to TV series

When I was a child, I remember that every Saturday I used to saw, different cartoons like “Mickey Mouse´s House” and “SpongeBob Square Pants” with my sister! It was our best panorama every weekend! Jaja If I have to decide for one of them, I chose “SpongeBob Square Pants”, I have to confessed that it´s my favorite cartoons ever!! I don´t know why specifically but.. I enjoyed the story, the relationship that Bob sponge has with his friends, I think that it´s very funny!   But in this opportunity I would like to talk more about my favorite TV series. I remember that last year everybody was talking about “a fantastic TV series”. My sister saw it too and she told me that it was the best series that she has ever seen! And I say ok..I´m not the kind of person that sees TV series, because I prefer see a movie (or something that last less), so I decided not to see it. Post graduate studies

Since I was a child, my motivation is help people. For this reason, at the beginning I wanted to be a teacher. But later, different ideas were around my head and I started thinking that maybe I could help people from another perspective. That´s why I chose this career.   I think that it´s important to know about public health because now, it´s the least considered area by the people and someone have to do it! In the future, if I finish the career jaja I would like to study something related with public health or management in healthcare pharmacy, but if you ask which catch more my attention..public health definitely because I would like to design new public health policies… So I´m going to talk about doctorate of Public health. I would like to study here, in the university. The doctorate is accomplished in the Faculty of Medicine. This doctorate lasts 4 years. Your New Job

Hi! I´m going to talk about the job that I want to have in the future. In the future...I would like to have a different kind of job..Maybe I would like to have for a few days an online job, but also a “face to face” job, because for me it´s important. So..if I have to choose I prefer both; outdoor and indoor). I would like to have a job where I can travel a lot, because I could know about my career from different points of view, so I imagine me traveling a lot around the world , acquiring new knowledge constantly.   Some time ago, I used to think that I would like to work in something about toxicology, maybe in a forensic laboratory, but now I think that working in a hospital is a good idea! You can help and work with different kind of people and I think that it´s beautiful! For this reason, I´m thinking of taking a major about public health. In another hand.. if we talk about salary, I think that it´s important but not the most important thing, for me, it must be a balance.   I

From the invisible to the visible world and back

The objective of the nanoparticles is innovate and make different and new instrument, technics and materials that we can use it in different areas…   like conversion the energy, save information and the administration of different kind of medicaments. So..nanoparticles are so important in the area that we are studying because in my case, in the future I will use different materials that   are composite by nanoparticles. In this opportunity I choose talk about the nanotubes of carbon. I learned about them today! Jaja and I think that it´s so interesting!! In my career I choose them because I think that in the future they will be so useful in the mesoscopic electronic. The principal characteristics are their high conductivity and the use of nanotubes are given by their thermal and mechanical properties     The real and potential applications of nanotubes are growing impressively.
